Once Upon A Time...

That day, her eyes opened with the first beam of sunlight. As soon as she woke up, she smiled. "Today is not like any other day", she thought.

She sat upright in her bed and had a good look around. Her pink colored room felt different. She didn't know how different, but she just knew that she is already detached. Went to the kitchen to see her mom, who was washing the dishes. Gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and ran to get ready for the day.

She put on jeans and a t-shirt then went to her closet to get her dress. There was something about that dress. Whenever she saw it, her heart starts beating fast. She smiled and held it gently and went on her way. The day started early, but it will soon end, and then, things will never be the same again.

Treated like a celebrity throughout the day at the hair dresser's, accompanied by her best friend who made the hours feel like minutes, it was time to put on her white dress. She went to the dressing room as an ordinary girl, walked out of it a real princess. She looked astonishing. Everyone at the hair dresser's stopped what they were doing to look at her. Then the compliments came rushing down on her. She felt so flattered and hoped her soon-to-be her husband would think she looked beautiful too.

From that moment onward, time flew her by like a soft cold breeze at summer time. A genuine smile was drawn on her innocent face at all times. You could feel her happy soul surrounding her like a perfume scent. Her house was filled with people who loved her, and wished nothing but the best for her. Then she heard her mom saying "He is here". Her heart started beating so fast. She couldn't wait any longer. She longed to be with him. She longed to be his soulmate.

When he came in, everything and everyone around her did not matter anymore. Little by little voices and faces faded, and all she could see were his beautiful, caring eyes. She was standing, eagerly waiting for him to come through all the people. Then there he was, standing infront of her. He bent over and kissed her forehead, then stood beside her to wait for the guests to come.

Time flew by in an instant. And though there were hundreds of people around them, they felt like they were all alone. The air was filled with love; everyone was happy, and everyone was enjoying. And then just like that, the party was over, and they were already thanking their guests and saying goodbyes. When everyone left and they were all alone, the photographer was still there and suggested they take a couple more shots. If you could see those pictures now, you would have seen and felt the warmth of true love. Though they are still images, but just by looking at them, you could hear a sweet melody playing.

It was time for them to leave. It was time to put their first step in their new path together. They held hands and started walking. And through the darkness of the night, they both disappeared, leaning on each other, dreaming of what tomorrow could bring them.
